Llewellyn’s foray into the media world began in 1997 at KMEL, San Francisco’s iconic radio station. As an intern, he was mentored by industry luminaries like DJ Franzen and Trace Dogg, absorbing the intricacies of radio DJing, artist engagement, and the delicate art of relationship-building in a revenue-driven environment. His relentless dedication swiftly elevated him to the role of overnight board operator and assistant to Kevin Brown, the mastermind behind KMEL’s #1-rated morning show.

“Those late nights and early mornings weren’t just about radio—I learned how to captivate an audience and keep them coming back,” Llewellyn reflects. This foundational experience honed his ability to understand audience dynamics and the power of compelling storytelling.

Transitioning to KBLX and later Sirius, Llewellyn immersed himself in the broader business facets of media, working alongside giants like Rupert Murdoch. At Sirius, he delved into licensing, publishing, contract management, and the economics driving successful media enterprises. These roles not only expanded his technical expertise but also broadened his strategic vision, setting the stage for his entrepreneurial leap.

In December 2023, after 24 years of industry immersion, Llewellyn launched SOL: Sound of Life Media LLC, introducing SOLTV—a groundbreaking digital media platform poised to disrupt traditional entertainment paradigms. SOLTV is more than a streaming service; it is a testament to Llewellyn’s belief that “success isn’t about being the best; it’s about being better every single day.”

SOLTV officially launched in September 2024, entering a booming global OTT (Over-The-Top) market valued at $288 billion in 2023 with 3.9 billion users worldwide. Leveraging his MIT education in AI products and services, Llewellyn integrated advanced AI and data-driven insights to deliver highly personalized content. This strategic use of technology ensures that SOLTV viewers are not passive consumers but engaged participants, enhancing user satisfaction and retention by 25%.
